People, you have a little more time to catch “SELF-SERVICE” Twenty-Five Years of Fashion, People and Ideas Reconsidered at The Dallas contemporary.

If you are not familiar with the publication, it is the brainchild of the Paris based designer named Ezra Petronio. For the past twenty five years he has been pushing design boundaries in this amazing biannual publication. It was started to be a vehicle for experimentation in photography, typography and design. It has fulfilled its mission and it is considered to be the leading publication in the fashion and luxury industry. The show will blow your mind as the magazine spreads jump off the wall with their billboard scale displays. The contributors over the years are the who’s who of the fashion world with people like Steven Meisel, Paolo Roversi, Bruce Weber, Peter Lindbergh and Craig McDean to name a few, lensing the editorials. The fact that some of these images are ten to fifteen years old and are as timely as ever is a testament to forward thinking vision. It will be hard not to be blown away by the show. If for whatever reason you do not make it to see in Texas before it closes, watch for it to come to a town near you.
